Exercise 4: 5 Day Writing Challenge
Nothing gives you a kick up the proverbial butt like rising to a challenge! Whenever you are faced with the big concrete wall that is writer’s block, get back on track by taking on this 5 day writing challenge.
The trick with this challenge is just to keep writing, it doesn’t matter if you think it’s completely rubbish or you have to write a load of random stuff just to get the writing done. Just write, eventually you’ll write something you connect with and we promise you, you’ll get back on track.
Day 1: Write 2 pages of back story for your main character (prose or a scene).
Day 2: Write 5 pages of your script – it doesn’t matter if it’s good bad or ugly, just do it!
Day 3: Write the final moment of your play (it can be as short and sweet as you like).
Day 4: Write another 5 pages of your script.
Day 5: Write the scene where the worst thing ever happens to your protagonist (it can be a moment you’re planning on including in your play, or maybe not!).
Planning on doing this challenge? Post in the members Facebook Group, telling us when you’re starting it and we’ll give you some encouragement!

where’s the ‘Mark as Complete’ button?
Strangely, I’m trying to do this course but the site has been updated without a function it can mark where you have got to, so each section and exercise has been read. I’ve tried clicking on the ticks but nothing happens as they turn green when each is Read and complete. Could this be rectified or shown how clearly you complete each section please otherwise I have a problem?
